Catholic Charities Advisory Councils welcome you to a new and unique special event in the Wichita area!
"Bags to Riches" will take place Wednesday, July 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the WaterWalk plaza. The event will benefit Catholic Charities Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter.
Bring your mom, sisters, aunts, girlfriends, co-workers and any other lady in your life who would love a chance at the fabulous bags, purses and other accessories up for silent auction bids to benefit these much needed community programs.
Entertainment, drinks, appetizers and a short program about the cause will also take place. Don't forget to participate in the prize drawing for a special surprise for just $5 per ticket available the day of the event.
Tickets are just $30 for a chance to bid and win some amazing purses, bags and other items as well as to enjoy this evening among many wonderful women benefitting the shelters of Catholic Charities. We hope to see you there!

Catholic Charities Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter.
Catholic Charities Harbor House exists to help break the cycle of violence against women and their children by providing them a safe place to stay and support services, like counseling, education and referrals to community resources. Through outreach advocacy services, staff counsel and guide victims of abuse through the judicial and SRS systems. Prevention services are also available through the Start Strong Wichita project which focues on education and prevention of abusive and unhealthy relationships targeted at middle and high school students in USD 259.
Catholic Charities St. Anthony Family Shelter provides services that include case management, referrals for employment, education, health assessments and other medical needs, instruction in parenting skills, special attention to children's needs on premises by a foster grandparent and the family’s advocate, family counseling, referral for drug, alcohol and mental health counseling, follow-up case management, and the USD 259 homeless services.
Families who can move out of the shelter and into their own homes continue to receive the benefits of support and guidance that help ensure their success. We assist them with goal planning and provide case management, advocacy and support, as determined by individual need. For those families who require it, we help connect them to community resources for furniture, linens and other basic home necessities.
